"In the Footsteps of Monet"

Casa Villatalla, your home for your visit to Liguria, is perched in the foothills of the Ligurian Alps, surrounded by olive trees growing on stone terraced hillsides. The swimming pool in the garden has magnificent mountain views of medieval hilltop towns capped with terracotta roofs.

This course will include visits to these towns to sketch or paint the castles, church towers, alleys and archways, and bridges painted by Claude Monet. Time will be spent at Villatalla turning sketches into paintings, and will include workshops in Oil and Acrylic with materials provided.

There will be demonstrations on drawing and perspective, planning a suitable colour palette, painting techniques and How to look for the Wow factor.

It is suggested that watercolour, pens, pencils and coloured crayons are used on location visits, but bring your favourite medium for using at Villatalla.
